The Way leaves Milngavie on footpaths and tracks through Mugdock Country Park, past the Dumgoyach Standing Stones and Glengoyne Distillery, into Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. There are no major climbs, which makes it a gentle first day; many walkers stop for the night at Drymen.
